FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Developments in FCA SoccerToledo, OH March 18, 2019 – Fellowship of Christian Athletes

Fellowship of Christian Athletes is pleased to announce the newest member of FCA Club Sports, Colin Armstrong. Colin will be joining our team as the new Executive Director of Soccer Operations for NW Ohio/Southern Michigan FCA Soccer.

A native of Worthington, Ohio, Armstrong played at Bowling Green State University where he made 55 total appearances. He spent two seasons in Myrtle Beach playing for the Myrtle Beach Mutiny in the NPSL. Collin then returned to Northwest Ohio and played locally with Toledo United in the PLA and Toledo Villa in the UPSL until 2019 when he took over as head coach for Villa.

In 2015, Armstrong began as the assistant coach for the Bowling Green High School Girls Soccer program. The following year he took over the helm at Central Catholic High School and their girl's program. Over the course of three years, he led the program to its first-ever district title in 2017. During his time at Central Catholic, he began working with youth teams including Pacesetter Soccer Club. His work was primarily with pre-high school age groups.

In 2018, Armstrong transitioned from high school and club soccer to coaching in college. He became the assistant coach for the women’s soccer team at Tiffin University. Armstrong was able to fine-tune his coaching methodologies and practices. During the summer of 2019, while coaching the women in Tiffin, Armstrong took over as head coach for Toledo Villa and helped oversee the transition of the side from the UPSL to the NPSL.

Armstrong graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Education and spent three years teaching history and technology at Toledo Central Catholic High School. He is progressing through his licensure through USSF and USC while also spending time learning abroad with TOVO. He and his wife Molly live in Toledo.

We are very excited to welcome Colin and Molly to our FCA Family and hope you'll take some time to get to know him in the very near future as our fall season planning is underway and right around the corner.

    Signed,

Josh Erd Northwest Ohio FCA Multi-Area Director
